The Revived Life offers both counselling and coaching services, but they serve different purposes.
In Counselling, we address emotional and psychological concerns that may be interfering with your day to day life. It is about improving your state of mental and emotional wellbeing and learning coping skills for the season you are in. You might seek counselling if you are going through grief and loss for example.
Coaching is more future-oriented and focused on personal growth. It is a partnership that helps you move forward with clarity. We focus on goal setting, developing your mental and emotional skills, and exploring your values and strengths to help you achieve your goals.
Skills and strategies from both counselling and coaching may benefit the other. Both provide a collaborative, safe-space that is focused on you.

If you are going through something that is impeding your mental and emotional wellbeing, if you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or emotionally distressed, then counselling might support you. If you are seeking direction, personal growth, or motivation, then coaching can help.
If you are unsure, this can be explored in our first session together as to which path would suit you most.

Sessions are typically 60 minutes.
How many sessions we have will depend on your circumstances, and your goals. You may only need a few sessions, or you may want more ongoing support. We will review this together to choose a path forward that supports you best.

Yes, both online and in-person sessions are available. Online will be via Zoom, or telephone if necessary (though video calls are recommended). In-person will be at The Revived Life office in North Gosford.
You may request to meet elsewhere. For example, some people feel comfortable being outdoors and moving, so we can offer walking sessions, or even meet at a local cafe. These types of sessions may be better suited to coaching due to their public nature.
